Lauren Costello, MS, RD, LDN

At Embark Nutrition Counseling, I provide personalized, evidence-based nutrition counseling for individuals seeking a healthier relationship with food and their bodies. I specialize in the treatment of eating disorders and disordered eating (e.g. anorexia, bulimia, binge eating, ARFID, and chronic dieting). I also support clients navigating body image concerns, intuitive eating, medical nutrition needs, and co-occurring mental health conditions. My work is rooted in compassionate, weight-inclusive care that honors each client’s unique experiences, values, and goals. All sessions are offered through secure telehealth, making care accessible and flexible. I am licensed in multiple states, accept several insurance plans, and offer self-pay options to meet a range of needs.

Practice and Approach

At Embark Nutrition Counseling, I believe that every person is deserving of recovery and compassionate, respectful care—regardless of body size, diagnosis, background, or where they are in their healing journey. My work is grounded in a whole-person, HAES®-aligned, body-inclusive, and non-diet approach that honors each client’s lived experience and individual needs.

I founded Embark Nutrition Counseling with a commitment to safety, dignity, and equitable access to quality nutrition care. Through evidence-based counseling and collaboration with other providers whenever possible, I support clients in building sustainable healing, trust with food and their bodies, and long-term well-being.

My Clients

I am grateful to support clients of all ages and genders using evidence-based approaches to care. Eating disorders and disordered eating do not discriminate, and I welcome individuals from all backgrounds, identities, and lived experiences. My practice is a safe, inclusive space where every client is respected, supported, and met where they are in their healing journey. I am honored to be trusted with my clients’ stories and to support their values through our work together. My clients come from many walks of life, and each brings a unique perspective that I deeply respect.
