Karen Samuels, Ph.D, C.E.D.S., is a licensed clinical psychologist who has married the practice of yoga to her healing work for over 30 years. Her passion is helping her clients live more comfortably in their bodies. Working with adolescents and adults, she is dedicated to embracing relational well being across the lifespan, including a special focus on midlife and beyond.Hope is at the foundation of Karen’s work. She helps people to clearly see options and possibilities, to care for themselves more fully, and to imagine what might be to find the courage, strength, and trust to take the first important steps to creating a better life. Practice and Approach

I provide counseling services for adults and families. Specializing in the spectrum of eating disorders, body image disturbance, anxiety & mood disorders, and relationship issues. Focus on the challenges at Midlife & beyond, Dr. Samuels offers a relational/cultural approach in pursuit of living well and flourishing with the demands of seeking life’s balance. Utilizing mindfulness practices, developing adaptive strategies for better outcomes, working collaboratively, these are key to our work together. Dr. Samuels has over 34 years of successful experience helping people make positive, meaningful changes to live more fully.
Practicing in Volusia & Flagler since 1990, I co-founded Nonprofit Organizations to provide outreach in the field of Eating Disorders and Body image. I train Family Medicine physicians to partner in the care of body image and disordered eating considerations across the lifespan. A lifelong yogi, mindfulness practices for coping are incorporated.
