I am a Registered Dietitian-Nutritionist in Brooklyn, NY specializing in eating disorders and complicated food relationships. I offer individual nutrition counseling, and find tremendous reward in the process of collaborating with my clients and helping them find a more ease with eating and confidence in their bodies. My nutrition counseling style is warm, creative and compassionate. In our work together, you can expect a non-judgmental space, invitations to unpack internalized diet culture beliefs, and tailored guidance focused on cultivating behaviors that promote genuine well-being and better quality of life around food and body.

Practice and Approach

I recognize that eating behaviors and attitudes towards bodies don’t occur in a vacuum. I am committed to practicing through an anti-racist, size inclusive, gender inclusive lens. I also believe that body diversity should be celebrated, and that weight stigma is harmful to health. I strive to provide care through a lens that acknowledges the way one’s social location and culture is connected to one’s relationship with food and body. I also greatly value body autonomy, and understand that many of us hold complicated relationships to weight, shape and size given the society in which we all live. I am here to hold space and listen without judgment to your experiences of and in your body. While my work with each client is highly individualized and looks different for each person some of the theories that inform my approach include: Intuitive Eating Mindful Eating, Health at Every Size® (HAES®), The Non-Diet Approach and The Division of Responsibility in Feeding. Each of these frameworks also have their own limitations. I work creatively and flexibly with each client, keeping in mind individual circumstances and access to resources.

My Clients

Most of the individuals I work with are in recovery from an eating disorder, and/or looking to find relief from a complicated relationship with food. I welcome clients of all genders and all backgrounds, ages 13 and up. I especially love working with individuals in the LGBTQIA+ and/or Jewish communities, current and retired athletes, and people in the helping professions.
